Machine overview
Built for repeatability
The Leather Edge Slicking Machine burns off excess fibres and smooths the edges of cut straps, belts and components. Controlled heat and friction seal the edge, which improves appearance and helps later edge painting or coating. Heated rollers or wheels soften the surface slightly and close the pores for a polished result. Heat and roller speed can be set for leather type, thickness and the required finish. The table-top layout has a small footprint. The open roller area is practical for long belts and straps. The body uses mild steel or aluminium with insulated heating elements and a safety guard.
